This is the first chapter. it is a snippet from the start of a fanfiction story that am am writing.
theme of this story is: romance, adventure, mystery.
It was a normal day in the lab for Brennan. Today she had to look at six sets of remains. It was her job to give an identity to those who had been murdered. Today she started with the remains of a 20-30 year old Jane Doe. She was busy working with the remains when Booth came in. “Morning Bones. What are you looking at” said Booth.
“Morning, Booth. I’m looking at the remains of a Jane Doe Booth,” said Brennan. “Well we have a case file to look at this morning Bones.” “But Booth I need to get this work done for the lab.”
“I don’t care if this work needs to be done for the lab Bones were doing this case.” “Booth you can be a real pain in the ass some times and you know that don’t you Booth. I will come and have a look at this case file for you Booth.”
“Thank you, Bones. We will look at the case file in your office Bones. So the case involves an American Ambassador.”
“Which Ambassador is it Booth?”
“I don’t know which one it is Bones, that’s why I need you to come to Australia with me.”
“So I can identify whether the body is that of the missing ambassador.”
“Go home and pack your bags Bones. Were leaving in the morning.” So Temperance packed away the bones and cleared off the table were the bones had been. She then went to her office to grab her coat and handbag and then locked her office. On her way out she ran into Dr Camille Saroyan. “Good night Dr. Brennan.”
“Night, Cam. Oh by the way I won’t be in to work on the remains that were sent in for me.”
“Ok Brennan. I will get some one in to work on them while you’re away.”
“Thanks Cam. I appreciate you doing that for me Cam. Oh before I forget I will be away with Booth as he would like my help on a case.” After having spoken to Dr Saroyan and letting her know that she would be away she headed off home to have a nice relaxing bath and some thing to eat. After having eating her dinner of microwave lasagne and drinking a glass of red wine on the couch, she sat back on her couch and thought about what Australia would be like. She thought about the case and what exciting story she would unfold while she was working on the case. It was 10 o’clock and Temperance decided that she would head to bed. As Temperance woke she heard a knock on the door. After grabbing her nightgown and putting it on she went and answered the door. “Morning Bones. You ready to go.”
“Morning Booth. Give me 15 minutes and I’ll be ready to go. You can come in and wait while I get dressed and organise my self.”
“Ok, Bones.” As Booth came in to sit down he caught a glimpse of Temperance getting undressed and hopping in to have a quick shower. 5 minutes later he caught another glimpse of Temperance dropping the towel that she had wrapped around her. As she walked pass the mirror in her room she caught Booth watching her, as she got dressed. She then flashed Booth a look of annoyance. Booth having seen Temperance’s look then realised Temperance knew that he was watching her. After she finished getting ready she grabbed her suite case and went and made sure every thing was turned off. She then set the security alarm before heading out the door. On their way down to the car Temperance commented on why Booth was watching her while she got ready to go. Booth said to Temperance that he thought she was hot and that he really liked her. Temperance then said to Booth that she felt the same way about him. On their way to the airport they sat in silence. Until Booth finally decided to talk to Temperance about what he said before they left. “Are you alright Bones?” “Yeah I’m all right Booth.”
“Sorry if I upset you at all with what I said to you but I really do like you. I mean that.”
“I feel the same way about you Booth.”
“The moment we started working together we hated each other but the more we worked together the more I started to like you Bones.”
“Yeah I remember when we started working together. I hated the fact that when I had arrived at the airport with the skull in my bag which I had carried on the plane. You had security take me to an interrogation room and this guy was asking me questions about the skull that was in the bag. After having mentioned some thing about my book you then arrived and took me off to the car so I could head off home.”
“Yeah that was pretty funny don’t you think Bones.”
“I did not find that very funny. I remember being really annoyed with you for having done that as Angela was with me when it happened.”
“Any way. I think that as we worked together more, we started to get along and then I started to care for you. There would be times when we were working on a case that involved dangerous people who wanted to hurt you and these were the times when I would worry and I still worry when we work on these sorts of cases.”
“Yeah some times you get a little to over protective when we work on these types of cases.” After about 10 minutes of talking about how they felt about each other they were silent again and they stayed that way until they arrived at the airport. Once they arrived at the airport they headed to the check in booth. As they waited for there flight some thing happened. Some thing that would eventually lead to a horrible attack on the one he cared for the most, the one who he soon would need to save. Booth’s worst nightmare had just walked through the doors to the airport and had then locked eyes with Booth. Epps saw Booth and came over to talk with him. “ Hello Sealy.” “Hello Epps.”
“How are you going Sealy?”
“I’m fine Epps.” While Epps and Booth were talking Temperance could see the look of annoyance on Booth’s face and she could see that Booth did not want to talk to Epps. So Temperance decided that she would help Booth by asking if he could get her some thing to eat. Booth thought this was the perfect chance to escape from the situation and went off. Little did Booth and Brennan know what Epps was really up to? Epps was sent from a secret gang which all the members of the gang hated Booth and Brennan as they put these people involved in this gang behind bars. The leader of the gang chose Epps as they thought he would be perfect. The leader knew how well he had toyed with Booth and Brennan. The leader of this gang was known as the Grave Digger. The Grave Digger knowing Booth and Brennan all to well wanted to hurt them like Booth and Brennan hurt them. These people wanted to show them what it was like to be caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. See it was the Grave Digger who had brought the case file to Booth, as she wanted to get them alone so she could successfully carry out the plan that the gang had devised. With Booth and Brennan unaware of what was going to happen in the weeks to come. Epps secretly slipped a micro tracker781 on Brennan’s suite case and then went off to catch his flight. After waiting 10 minutes the flight to Australia had been announced over the PA system and Booth and Brennan went to line up so they could board the plane. As they got on the plane they were directed to the first class section of the plane, were they received seats near the window. As they waited for the plane to leave the airport they got comfortable in the seats. Little did they know what Epps was up to…
